Arizona's High Country

We spent several wonderful days exploring Arizona's high country around Cottonwood, Sedona, and Jerome. The weather was perfect for fishing, hiking, and rockhounding, and we even managed to enjoy a picnic-style Thanksgiving celebration surrounded by the stunning red rocks.

Our time in Arizona wasn't without its challenges—Lola had a brief health scare that required a quick detour for veterinary care (she's doing fine now!), and we faced some surprisingly harsh weather as we headed south. Hail, snow, and icy conditions made for some white-knuckle driving, but we persevered and made it safely to Las Cruces, New Mexico. From there, we're continuing our journey toward the Texas Hill Country, where warmer weather and new adventures await.
